Stopping moving to front after homing

Is there a way for it to home without moving all the way forward afterwards for a tool change. I understand that might be useful for doing a tool change but can the user have the ability to turn that off which reinitiating the machine.

The answer is no. That behavior is built into the initialization process. People have been asking your same question for a long long time. The answer is still the same for a long long time and the answer is no you cannot change it.

The only behavior change is if you do not have a BitSetter in past versions the machine would home and then stay in the home position. Since I have a BitSetter I cannot verify that is still the default behavior in the newer versions of CM.

If you turn off the BitSetter and/or turn it on you have to power off on SO3/4 machines because changing the status of the BitSetter messes with the machine internal coordinate system. I have been told here on the forum that for an SO5 you can turn the BitSetter on/off without having to power cycle. Again since I dont have an SO5 I cannot verify that behavior.

I appreciate the response. Honestly this only bothers me because I like to set up some cameras up close to film the machining and I hate when I have to break down the camera set up just because of this annoying lack of control option.
