Strange knocking noise on X axis

Can anyone help me identify this knocking noise? Only does it on the X axis going from right to left. Doesn’t always do it and I can’t identify exactly where it’s coming from. Seems to be consistent with the motor revolutions or the ball screw. The only time I notice it is when I move to the current xy locaton (which I do before I start every job). Moving back to the bitsetter it doesn’t do it. Wanted to check here before calling support. Thanks

I have a similar sound that that has a longer period being knocks. I figured mine was due to some binding on the axis and did some cleaning. I only have about 2 hours on the machine but it was dusty enough that I presumed that could have been the problem. I have not yet checked if it went away. I also presume I shouldn’t have to lubricate after 2 hours of use and that the machine came with an initial lube. I could be wrong there though.

I figured out the problem with the knocking noise. When traveling along the X axis and the Y axis doesn’t change there is no knocking or clicking noise. But, if the Y axis position is a fraction of an inch different than the original position the Y motors can’t turn in that small of an increment causing the knocking. If you move your original XY position just one inch it will resolve the knocking noise. Took forever to figure out, but now is working perfectly.
