So I plugged my laptop in and when I initialize the router moves to the right rear (normally where it goes) and then it takes off on it’s own to the front center and asks for a tool change. When I opened Carbide Motion there was not file loaded. I’m still pretty new, so what am I missing? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

This is the expected behavior when the machine configuration has a Bit Setter enabled. It wants to have you load a tool so it can then make an initial tool length measurement.

Thank you for the response. I’m guessing I can disable it in the settings? Or is there another way that’s a preferred method of correcting?
Yes, it is a checkbox on the configuration page. If you don’t have a Bit Setter uncheck the box and you’re good to go. From the Bit Setter installation guide, just uncheck and press OK.
