I have been in production mode for making bottle openers today. I had some bottle openers at the Farmer’s Market Saturday and sold quite a few. It was SFA parent’s weekend that I did not know about so missed some sales with the SFA logo. I have 8 more blanks already to do but machining these is BOOOORING. The good news I have been able to refine the tool paths and design to get a reasonable time and effort. At lunch I searched for beer openers and found a beer bottle drawing I remade my original shape for. I like it and will mostly made the beer bottle with sports teams logos.
All of the wood was just scraps laying around the shop. The project uses a 3" x 7" material. The trick is when I put the painters tape on the material I measure it and write the measurement on the side. Since these are just random pieces each one is slightly different. I just edit the CC file for each piece of material, save and cut.
In case you missed it I live in Texas and we are proud of our teams. Yee Haa, geddy up buttercup.
