Upon seeing your post I sprinted to my machine to check it… and discovered that it’s ok… it’s OK!!! Oh my… Thank the heavens it’s ok. The corners of my mount are indeed symmetrical.

I’m about to break out my bastard file and go to town.
Maybe that facet on the right is sized so that you can get your dremel out and engrave your name running up it? 
Yeah, that HDM is completely unusable.
I think Carbide should send you a new one and you ship that obviously broken HDM to me, for QC purposes
