It’s a little hard to tell from the photos…but is the cut on tile2 shifted over? I mean, is the light cut twice as wide on the right as on the left? Could it be that the entire cut is off on one axis?
he’s probably not through tiling or rotating the peice or something that throws off how “true” the wood is, it’s almost impossible to guarantee perfect tiling without perfect wood but you can get damn close using a variety of locating methods combined.
Thanks you all. Thank you for clarification that there is no mistake with the toolpath.
However:
IF it would be a setup error, then the pocket and contour paths would be off simultaneously. But they are not. While on tile1 both toolpaths for pocket and contour are synchroneous they are not on tile 2. In tile 2 these both toolpaths are off, relatively to each other, by few mm in the Y direction. There is not even a tool change since both use the same.
The setup otherwise appears ok, I did some of those pieces before just with a straight contour path. The X-alignment is excellent, less than 0.1mm off. Also the overall Y-alignment is less than 1mm off, except the asynchronicity between these 2 toolpaths in tile 2.
Is it possible there is a glitch in Carbide Motion?
