Tiling question

I made this project.
armchair final lower bar complete half inch thick tile1.c2d (380 KB)
It is supposed to cut the contour as pocket down to some mm above thickness, and the rest as contour to avoid getting stuck.

so far looks good, even the tiling consistency alongside Y works great.

But: reality sucks.

While on tile 1 all works fine with the tight cut around the product and the residual part on the residual stock

at the other end -tile2- the leftover projecting part is on the product, not on the residual stock

I cannot find the solution. Maybe one of you can figure that.

Fortunately the pieces with some edge routing still can be used.

It’s a little hard to tell from the photos…but is the cut on tile2 shifted over? I mean, is the light cut twice as wide on the right as on the left? Could it be that the entire cut is off on one axis?

I agree with GJM, its hard to understand exactly what is the exact issue with the tiles based on the photos and description?

he’s probably not through tiling or rotating the peice or something that throws off how “true” the wood is, it’s almost impossible to guarantee perfect tiling without perfect wood but you can get damn close using a variety of locating methods combined.

The toolpaths look good. So I suspect it’s the setup. Show us how you are setting up, clamping down, and moving & indexing the zero point.

Thanks you all. Thank you for clarification that there is no mistake with the toolpath.
However:

IF it would be a setup error, then the pocket and contour paths would be off simultaneously. But they are not. While on tile1 both toolpaths for pocket and contour are synchroneous they are not on tile 2. In tile 2 these both toolpaths are off, relatively to each other, by few mm in the Y direction. There is not even a tool change since both use the same.

The setup otherwise appears ok, I did some of those pieces before just with a straight contour path. The X-alignment is excellent, less than 0.1mm off. Also the overall Y-alignment is less than 1mm off, except the asynchronicity between these 2 toolpaths in tile 2.

Is it possible there is a glitch in Carbide Motion?
