I design projects in my office on a mac, then I save my file in the cloud and go to the shop where I use a Mac laptop to run my Shapeoko 5 Pro. I pull up the file without problem and the projects run fine, but if I want to make a change in the tool path I have to go back to the office computer. The tool path on the file transferred via the cloud to the shop computer is blank. It’s blank but, still runs the project without issue. The same file in the office has the tool paths. Anyone know what’s going on and if I am doing something to cause this? Thanks.
Mike
Which version(s) of Carbide Create are you using on each computer?
Upload a .c2d file which isn’t working with screengrabs from each computer?
I’ve also seen blank toolpaths on a mac. They show up as cuts in the simulation and cut just fine on the machine, but no blue lines showing that there is a toolpath present in the viewer. I’ve seen it on small or very thin features. Zooming in doesn’t cause them to appear.
Here’s an example from a multi-layer vcarve project, no toolpaths shown in the small circles.
