Toolpath issue between cuts

Hey guys,

I am using Carbide Create 6 to make generate GCode for my CNC machine.
The job had 4 operations with the same bit, 3 pockets and different locations and depths and one contour cut at the end.
At the end of each cut operation the bit lifted out of the hole and cleared the cut area but as it moved to the next cut location in the operation list it started to lower the Z and drug the bit thought the material before it got to the right cut location and then continued to cut the next operation and it did this each time it transitioned, cleared the cutter to a safe height but lowered into the workpiece on the way to the next job.
If I export each operation as a separate file it looks to work as well that this not very efficient
.
Any thoughts on why?
I am using an MPCNC with Duet board.

Check your retract height. If it is not high enough it will drag across the project in route to the next pocket. Certainly making 4 different files with one toolpath per file would work.

I have it set at 5mm for the safe height, It did go up that high but then as it traveled to the next Toolpath the tool head was being lowered as it moved and crossed the workpiece as it was moving to the next operation.

Post the .c2d file and the generated G-code?

Sure that would be great. Thanks.
