I’m cutting on the Nomad 3 and I realized my bits have been getting duller much faster than when I was using my old Roland MDX40. Then I realized any time I would run a 1/32" bit the tip chips before the cut even starts?!?! I took a closer look and it’s breaking on the bit setter!! This machine has eaten 4 $65 bits and I got a client on my backside asking for there parts. Is there a way to set the bit manually and skip the bit setter?!?! I need help I like this machine but I’m about ready to get rid of this thing for a bantam or carvera just to keep my client happy.

Which tools are breaking? What is the geometry of the tools which are breaking?
Could you take photos showing an undamaged and damaged tool?
Its dulling my 1/16 in (1/4 in cut length) bits and chipping my 1/32 in (1/4 in cut length) bits. Attached are the pictures as requested, the magnified one illustrates what is happening the best I caught before it touched the working material. Is there a way to temporarily bypass the bit setter and just use the bit zero probe so I can get this part for my client?
Carbide Motion does not allow disabling the BitSetter for a Nomad AFAIK.
It may be that some 3rd party communication/control program would be able to send files without such measurement.

Do you guys write your own post processor for Fusion 360? Is there a way to disable it in that postprocessor?
Is the bit sensor something that can be replaced or tuned or will I have to return or replace the machine?
Another thing, the front window of my machine just fell off in the middle of the night, the flexible part tore all the way across. I’ve only had this thing a few months and I use it very lightly I think I have 27hr of run time on it.

I fixed the original issue!! The nut across from the mag sensor was screwed in way too tight so I flipped it on its back and griped the peg with a pair of rubberized players and slowly turned the nut until it was just off of the mag sensor when depressed. After re-initializing, it works great! Just wish I could get back the cutters haha.
