Hello C3D community,
This is probably a dumb question as I’m new to CNC but does the Nomad 883 Pro have any adjustments in terms of aligning the axis? Does it need to be trammed?
Finally, while I could understand that the machine just is aligned, obviously some of the work pieces aren’t square. I’m trying to figure out a good procedure to ingest less than nominally square workpieces for multiaxis milling (by this I mean cutting features on different sides).
My thought so far is to clamp down the stock in the vice and plane the top and two of the sides, then flip it over and rotate it 90 so that all those surfaces are now engaged with the clamp then finish off the job.
Any thoughts on your own procedures would be super appriciated.
