I’m also currently shimming it with strips of aluminum foil, but I’ll also look into a permanent solution, either milling down the base plate or adding some plastic layer.
curious if it would be practical to drill tap for 3 points and use grub screws to get your flat plane.
once you get the table where you want it you could add in some loctite to retain their position - even a second set of grub screws that remain recessed
other thought is to figure out your shim config and use the setup type double sided tape to the bottom of table.
