I created a simple design that I want to send to a friend that is a CNC creator also. How can I save it as a SVG file that I can send it to him via email. I use carbide create pro. Is this doable
Thanks

SVG is a 2D format. If you have a 3D design then SVG will not help, unless you are cutting sections and saving those as SVG.

As @jtclose svg files are 2d. To save any shape just select it and go to file and export to svg with a file name.
Here I just drew a rectangle and exported it an an svg
Here is the resulting svg:

Upload your .c2d file?
If it’s a 3D model, it can be exported as a PNG depth-map as noted at:
As noted at:
https://carbide3d.com/blog/create-v8/
from “Breaking Changes”
Files from prior versions will not load 3D components in V8. There were too many changes to the internal format for the new capabilities of 3D, and there was no good way to map existing 3D components into V8.
so v7 files will need to be converted so as to use them in v8. Fortunately, Carbide Create has a feature for exporting the 3D model as a height/depth map pixel image:

so do that to get:
