Type of wood used

Not a CNC question, but I know that there are experienced wood workers here. I’ve got two questions.

  1. I’ve seen several wood projects in stores made of 3/4ish material. Looks like pine but super light. It has a greyish color I’m sure from some sort of steel wool stain or something. Anyone familiar with it And know a source to purchase? Feels light as driftwood but not drift wood.

  2. Can anyone identify this wood material (different material than question 1)
