I am having issues while making unions as well as other items. My stars will come out deformed. Can anyone tell me what is going on here? I leveled the table and trammed the shapeoko and surfaced the spoilboard but still get these issues. This wood was not warped either.
If the machine is level/trammed, and the stock of uniform thickness, and there aren’t any mechanical issues, uneven star points are usually a consequence of feeds/speeds/plunge rates/depth per pass not quite being right — toolpath order/direction may affect this as well, but usually won’t if the other values suit the machine/material.
