Unmount and remount 5 pro

Hello,
Is there a tutorial for unmount and remount the shapeoko 5 pro ?
i need to change place and cannot pass the door or carry like this
what is the minimal unmount i can do ? or i literally need to take the mount notice and do everything backward ? :cry:
if someone already went through this please let me know :slight_smile:

There are no tutorials that I’m aware of.

Machine Footprint 60 in(X) x 59 in(Y) x 23.25 in(Z)
This should fit through any standard door with the machine turned sideways.
You would need a cart or a piano dolly, or 2 strong people to carry it. ~300 lbs.

You could remove just the gantry. That would require removing the cable tracks & wires as well.

The assembly manual in reverse is what there is.

At a minimum, I’d suggest:

  • remove the spindle
  • remove the gantry
  • unplug the controller from the machine

Please be careful not to misplace or damage any parts.

okay, thanks! i’ll remove gantry and cable and water cooling. and try to move it like that then…since i remove the gantry, should i need to untighten the bed when remounting to resquare in case ?

I would measure the diagonals, and if equal, call it good, and if unequal, loosen and re-square.
