The last time I used the Shapeoko 4 was 1 week ago. I unplugged it a week ago and now today when I went to make a cut, it did not seem to work right.
I have a design that just does a cutout for a holder for some blank aluminum business cards to hold while I engrave them. I have attached the file.
Anyway, the X and Y settings seem to be right. I set the Z height and when I start the job, it cuts about 1 1/2" high. Then when the job is done, the spindal returns to between the N and NW position. Seems to me that it used to go back to the NE position when done.
I have already resetup in the settings for the correct machine and also resetup the bitsetter but that did not do the trick.
Like I said, the only thing that was different is that I had the CNC unplugged for a week. The X and Y were even still correct after I plugged it back on today.
Anyone have any ideas?

How are you setting the Z-axis zero?
If you jog down to the surface of the MDF and then jog up by 1" does the machine move 1"
Please let us know about these difficulties at support@carbide3d.com
I am jogging down to top of stock and using the paper method to set Z.
Sorry, I was not by machine. But yes, if I bring bit to stock am\nd then go up 1", it does move up 1".
Your file has the zero origin set at the bottom:
are you setting the origin at the bottom of your 1.5" stock?
That was it. So should the spindal go to NE after a job finishes? I thought it did before or mayber I am wrong.
What the spindle does at the end of a job depends on where it is when the job completes and what code(s) are at the end of the file.
The normal behaviour for Carbide Create files run in Carbide Motion is to lift at least to safety/retract height where cutting concludes, then move straight back.
