Upgrading design computer

My laptop i have been doing my design stuff on is over a decade old, so I decided to update to one of the modern win11 mini PCs. I have Carbide Create files I designed from V6, V7 and V8, Am I understanding correctly that I need V7 so I can convert to V8 for the older files. I just want to make sure I don’t need to load up V6 as well (the new machine will have 4x the hard drive space so not a big deal, but figured I get everything set up at once)

Carbide Create v7 should open v6 files — if you find one which doesn’t open in it, let us know at support.
