Can anyone provide an explanation of the meanings of the texture toolpath settings shown below and how their values affect the texture result in the simulation? Would like to know how these settings impact what you see in the simulation so I can customize how I want the texture to appear. For example, like maybe a texture surface of a basket weave pattern or brick pattern.
Stepover variation β how much the overlap varies
Min. Length β the shortest possible (minimum) length of each stroke
Max Length β the greatest possible (maximum) length of each stroke
Min. Overlap β the minimum distance by which each stroke overlaps
Max. Overlap β the maximum distance by which each stroke can overlap
Angle β the angle of the texture
If you experiment by changing on parameter at a time through a reasonable range of values one develops something of a feeling for how each affects the appearance.
It isnβt really possible to get a consistent texture such as a basketweave β that sort of thing would need to be drawn up by hand, or programmed in a drawing system which allows saving to an SVG or DXF.
