Using outside right with two different sizes

I cut out two rectangle pieces that were the same exact size only one had some narrow slots in it so I cut it out with an 1/8” cutter using outside right. The other one I cut out using a 1/4” cutter using outside right as well and thought that they should be the exact same size but they are not. The one I cut with the 1/4” came out almost 2 mm smaller. CC showed both to be the same dimensions. Am I wrong thinking they should have been the same size?

What you describe sounds like bit deflection. You said the one that was cut with the 1/4" endmill came out 2mm smaller. Smaller than what carbide create showed it should be, or smaller than the one cut with the 1/8th inch endmill?

It was smaller than the 1/8” cut.

Bit deflection is one thing I did not think about and is probably the cause. Thank you.

Which one cut to the correct dimension?

The 1/8” was correct. It was a new cutter with about 5/8” stick out. The 1/4” was well used and crashed once and had around 3/4” stick out. I completely forgot that my 1/4” cutter was junk.
