Using the Carbide 3D DIY waste board project

I’m going to use the Carbide 3D waste board project to cut my own, but my board is bigger. Would it be a simple case of copying/pasting the existing holes, then updating the toolpath to include them?

I’m pretty much OK with the design, but I’m wondering why there are cuts along the edge of the board. Or at least it seems there are, as the video of the holes being cut go nowhere near the edge!

I’m going to use 18mm ply, though, and not MDF. I really dislike the stuff.

Thank you.

Yes, copying the geometry, placing it where desired, then editing the toolpath to add them will work.

There are also some additional sizes of threaded insert boards on Cutrocket:
