I’m new to CNC and have been doing a lot of V-carving. I hope the problem is visible in the images; the edges of the lines are coming out very poorly. The machine runs perfectly when making straight cuts, but whenever I run the V-carving code, they all turn out like this. I’ve tried everything: the simulation looks perfect, there’s no backlash in the machine, I’ve checked speeds, and I’ve tried toggling various settings in Mach3. Does anyone know anything about this issue?
This looks like the bit itself is not the same angle as the bit programmed - as if the bit is a wider angle than what is programmed.
Is it possible that either you typo’d the bit definition, or that the bit just isn’t the angle that it says it is?

It seems that’s it. It’s strange, though, since my cutter is 60 degrees and I configured it as such. The only thing left to try is running the same code with angles of 56, 58, 62, and 64 to see what happens.
