VFD flashing 7.5 and wont turn spindle

Submitted a support request but its Sunday so maybe someone here can help.
my shapeoko 5 pro is coming up on a year of ownership, purchased during last yars black Friday sale. that said it has very low hours, I have not had much shop time for various reasons, and just moved into the house right before purchasing the machine. I did however set it up and make a few shop projects to test it out, and it all worked gloriously! was purchased with t he official carbide 3d 80mm spindle, VFD, and Chiller.

Anyway, went to turn the machine on today, hoping to knock out a quick “Santa Sleigh” decoration for the front yard, powered up the chiller and let it run for 10 min while I cleaned up the area around the machine and reconnected the vacuum hose. plugged in my surface tablet and powered up the controller, machine sprang to life. reached over and flipped on the VFD, red button on front lit up. looking good.

open carbide motion, connect to the machine and initializes just fine, all three axes moving perfectly. go to do the spindle warmup routine, timer starts counting but Spindle doesn’t startup. I look at the VFD display and it is flashing 7.5. I really have to crouch down to see the display so I didn’t even look at it at first. so i shut the vfd down and then turned it back on. the flashing 7.5 is there from the begining. its been a while since I’ve used it but I don’t remember that behaviour.

With all power off, I checked the spindle and it moves quite freely by hand.

So various things I tried that didnt work:

checked all cables to the VFD/Spindle/Shapeoko Controller (With Everything powered off of course) and reseated them all.

Upgraded carbide motion, but I’m pretty sure it was the same version so really just a reinstall.

went through the machine setup again, just in case. this took several tries as Carbide motion constantly flipped into “Not Responding” and back, but ebventually got through the setup on the 4th try or so.

Used the MDI to try and start the spindle.

None of these worked, and the display on the VFD just flashed 7.5 the whole time.

Pretty Bummed right now. I hope this is under warranty still.

The only trim router I have is a bosch Colt, not sure if it would fit, but don’t care because I don’t want to use a trim router anyway
