Warranty / Reseller Purchase

I just wanted to try and get some clarification on the warranty situation for users in Europe who have purchased their machine via a reseller. I purchased my machine from RobotShop ( https://uk.robotshop.com/ ) last week and completed the build last night once FedEx managed to deliver both boxes.

Do I have to go via the reseller for any warranty stuff or direct to Carbide 3D - I’m making a big assumption that the waranty/60 errors on us is maintained in this situation. Is that correct?

I don’t have a reason to trigger any warranty stuff at this point, I just want to know what my position is.

I see that my gantry has a sticker on the back with a QR Code, some letters/numbers and text that says “Do not share” - Is that a serial number suitable for warranty claims etc? Do I need anything more? Do I need to ask RobotShop to give me their original order information from when they ordered from C3D? (See Buying a Used Shapeoko - “Note: We must have the original order number. We cannot take the original owner’s name as proof of ownership.” ) For when/if I wanted to sell and pass on the warranty?

You would deal with us directly on warranty problems; buying from one of our distributors is the same as buying directly from us.

The first time you reach out, you’ll be asked for your purchase information (usually, a copy of the receipt) and then we’ll note that on your profile for the future.
