I’m looking at trying my hand in the 3D use of my Shapeoko. What are the recommendation for a good 3D motion controller software that doesn’t break the bank.
Carbide Motion will send any sort of motion instructions to the machine, 2D, 2.5D, or 3D — it’s used on the Nomad which is bundled with MeshCAM, which is a 3D CAM program (MeshCAM also works perfectly on the Shapeoko, it’s just an added purchase)

Ok. I guess I was misinformed then.
If you haven’t decided on 3D CAD/CAM that’s a different discussion — we have an article on using Autodesk Fusion 360 at: http://docs.carbide3d.com/software-faq/fusion360/ — if you’d let us know what sort of work you want to do we might be better able to advise you.
MeshCam Is a very nice Software and work very pretty whit the Shapeoko Im very happy whit it , easy and fast .
