Baton Rouge, LA, here (where we still have a chance at a day or two of leftover spring showing up before the heat and humidity really kicks into braise mode).

  • Shapeoko XL
  • Beaver CNC EasyTram plate
  • Y plates swapped L/R for >60mm more Y on-bed
  • J Tech 4.2W laser
  • Suckit with semi-custom mounting (to accomodate the EasyTram and swapped Y plates)
  • Custom-made Suckit-compatible “SmokeSucker” for laser smoke (“Don’t breathe this.”)
  • HDPE bed onto which alternating aluminum T-tracks and composite deck boards with threaded inserts are mounted
