Work Holding Kit - Not for S5Pro?

So, I purchased an S5Pro and took the opportunity to add the Work Holding kit that was advertised along side it…

Hmmm… why is it not compatible with the S5Pro and why is the corner piece so far out?

The straight pieces…

They don’t fit the machine they were sold with! This is too short to fit the 5!

See the problem yet? It’s not even SQUARE!!!

And if you adjust to be aligned vertically now the bottom is out.

So, not only does this no fit the 5 (the hole is in the same wrong position), it’s not even square!

Did I just get a bad kit?

That workholding kit predates the Shapeoko 5 Pro, and the spacing of the Hybrid T-tracks is different for the SO5 Pro than for the machines which were available when it was released. Please contact us at support@carbide3d.com and we’ll see what can be worked out.

The parts are injection-molded, so not so precise that they are directly suited for some folks — if need be, you can machine the elements after bolting them to the machine so that they are square to the machine motion.

Good to know. My S5Pro is arriving tomorrow and I also ordered the Grip Workholding Kit.
