Wrong Step-over when I am using the Finish Toolpath

Hi

I am using a fine detail bit. But when i go to the Finish Tool Path it giving me the stepover of .125". That’s not in my Tool Base database…it is 1%. What am I doing wrong?

Did you click the Edit button under the 3D Finishing ToolPath tool definition? You should be able to set a step over on the Edit Tool pop up.

You’re not doing anything wrong. CC doesn’t use the stepover value from the library. It defaults to 1/2 the tool dia.

I did get it to work with the stepover drop down box…just thought that it was done with the toolpath database. Thank you.

The toolpaths use these values from the tool database. Nothing else.
It will put the name in a comment in the G-code, but it’s just for reference.
