Hi I have a shapeoko 5 pro, I love the machine, I have had a couple of issues lately, the X axis jams making a grinding noise as if it has a ratchet clutch behind the router itself, I was thinking I pushed it too hard with a used cutter. It screwed up the job, but it never lost its zero reference, So I am assuming the stepper motor never stopped, i was using a 1/4 cutter on ply 3mm depth of cut cut 30"/minute 1000 rpm. It has cut at this setting many times with now problem, the cutter may be going off, I ran the same program, never changed anything else apart from going to 1/8" cutter and it ran fine, any idea what is happening please.

Have you lubricated the ballscrew and linear rails lately?
