Y axis error new machine Pro 5 DOA

Keep getting y axis error Then it says machine controller restarted unexpectedly and may be in an unidentified state. Then GRBL error Homing failed couldn’t find limit switch.

Test the switches with a metal object to confirm switch is good. If switches are good then likely need to adjust switch closer to trigger.

Its not that there not triggering its not even getting there to trigger it

What machine is it? It may help to troubleshoot if we know.

I have ,got rid of the y axis error. 1 down three to go
2machine controller restarted unexpectedly and may be in an undefined state.
3GRBL error;Homing failed couldn’t find limit switch (not defined)
3 Homing Cycle Failed

They had me switch the y axis limit switch which got rid of my first error

Would be nice if they would answer their emails.

It seems from other posts for the new controllers that if it fails to home you get the unexpected and undefined state. Seems to be on Macs especially. Must be something in the software for the disconnect if it fails to home.

Support did call me and coached me to override the system they figured the wires going to the z axis were faulty as they did not respond x and y were fine. There sending new ones.

Just got a pro 5. Had a bad limit switch wire. They sent me a new one lickity split (I spliced the old one in meantime). You’re gonna be good buddy just hold it together. I too was whipped into a lather with anticipation for the 5’s arrival.
