Y-axis homing not playing nice

Have a shapeoko pro.

When homing, if the y-axis is not the last axis to reach the homing switch it often fails the homing cycle.

As soon as I move the router so that z and x are closer to the homing switch, then initiate homing it doesnt seem to be a problem.

Any suggestions?

Stephen you may have issues with your switch and or the connectors and wiring harness. Test the switches with anything metal and look for the red indicator light on the switch and then the blue led light for each switch on the main board. You can remove the cover over the board and then power up the machine without the computer connected.

Any light that does not work for a switch could indicate the problems above.

Hi Anthony, thank you for taking the time to respond.
I was waving the metal wrench over the sensor as discussed everywhere and was getting the red sensor light to acknowledge, but I wasn’t paying attention to the blue board light. The slightest wiggle at the board and it seems to be working.
The homing worked fine for the first year of ownership but was acting up recently so I guess something bumped the wiring.
Appreciate your time!
