Y proximity switch suddenly stopped working

Its been about 2 weeks since I used my CNC and today I went to initialize it and the “Y” axis proximity switch isn’t working. I went through all connections and reseated everything, both “X” and “Z” switches still work. I’ve had this machine for a little over 2 years so I’m guessing it could be due to age? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

Is the switch clean and clear of debris?

Check the mounting of the homing switch and the wiring and connectors.

What mechanical aspect of the machine interacts w/ the switch? If it’s a post, is it securely in place?

If you test the switch, does it work? If so, can it be adjusted position-wise to get it to work?
