Having an issue with my z axis. I just put my shapeoko together and tried a simple coaster in carbide create. Everything is working fine eccept my z axis does not go down to the material… it only goes about to 2 inches above and then proceeds to carve in the air. Can anyone help me solve this? I spent the bettet if 3 hours last night trying to figure it out and everything i do results in the same action.
Which Z-axis does your machine have?
Which did you configure in Carbide Motion?
What is your Z-axis Travel Dimension?
Where are you setting the origin in the file?
How are you setting origin relative to the stock?
