Hello, I am doing a simple surfacing of MDF and my Z axis sticks about 4 to 5 inches before hitting the table and stalls.
What machine and type of Z axis. The most common thing for the Z-Plus and/or HDZ is the bearings need to be lubricated. Also a vacuum hose could be getting caught something.
Thank you for responding Guy. I have a 5 Pro. The program is simple. The router just stops and in turn, the program stops. It is lined up in the right area. I do not have any vacuum hoses to my knowledge and I have only used the machine maybe 10 times.
Not sure if this applies too you but there is currently a bug that when starting a project the router/spindle stops and asks you to set RPM to 24000. That wrong speed is not the issue but that it is waiting for you to hit enter to proceed. After hitting enter the router/spindle proceeds to cut. It does that behavior every time you change a tool.
I get the message and then hit proceed. It asks me 1. to make sure I am using the correct tool, in this case an Amana Tool end mill 2265. 2. asks me to set the router to number 2 that corresponds to 14,000 RPM. Side question. I did purchase a spindle from Carbide, do you think I should install it now or get the bugs out of the machine first?
