I bought a Shapeoko XXL December 2021. Never have been able to get it to work. The router follows the X/Y axis fine but not the Z. The router will not move down to touch the work surface. The router bits touch’s off the bit setter just fine. Suggestions?
Where are you setting the origin in the file?
How are you setting the origin relative to the stock?
Which Z-axis does your machine have?
How is it configured?
Are you using the interface to manage tool changes?
I’d suggest checking in w/ support@carbide3d.com
Is the Z axis reaching it’s limit? You may need to move the router down.
Or it could be the soft limits set in the configuration.
