Z axis - why do I need to jiggle wires

Hello, Just about every time I go to start my shapeoko pro xl, I have to jiggle the z axis wires, adjust them to make the z axis sensor work (red) for initializing the machine…is this a flaw or is there a better fix…I have searched this site but not getting answer I am looking for. Thanks, Tim

Most likely it is a bad connection on the pins for the proximity switch connector or it can also be a bad connection or wire further on down the wiring harness or on the control board… Since you are jiggling the wires at the X axis it is most likely there you have the bad connection.

If you un-clip and separate the connector look for damaged pins or pushed out pins. Email support and see if you can get replacement switch and or harness. They can help you troubleshoot the problem completely.
