i stopped a motion run in the middle of its track. The machine will not reinitialize. When turned on the router plunges down to the slab surface and would not retreat to the top location. Z Limiter switch works when engaged. .

Can I manually force reset/reinptialize using MDI codes? If so, what is coding to use
Start by powering everything down and unplugging everything and waiting a bit.
Then power up and test each switch — do they work?
If all the switches test, out, then w/ none of them activated try initializing.
If that doesn’t work, contact us at support@carbide3d.com and we’ll do our best to assist.
Not likely but power on and connect and before initializing send the correct config just in case CM or the Shapeoko has corrupted the configuration.

Any time you get a usb disconnect you have to power cycle to recover. Plus weird problems are magically fixed by reboot. The controller on Shapeoko is good but not a lot of smarts in it so getting to a known states usually requires power cycle to return the controller to a coherent state.
