Z-Limit Switch maxed out/will not home

Hey all,

Thanks to those of you who helped figure out my previous issue with the gantry travel issue. That has been fixed. Now, I am running into another issue. I have only homed my machine 2-3 times successfully since I finished assembly this morning. Now, I am getting “GRBL Error: Homing Failed, couldn’t find limit switch” when I run the homing sequence. When I do run the sequence, I get a really awful grinding noise coming from the Z-axis motor. The machine is starting with the spindle mount already maxed out, and I think that the Z-limit switch might be bad? Any guidance or advice would be great. Thanks!

Tyler

How does the Z-axis homing switch test?

Will,

Thanks for the quick reply! I watched the video, however, I have the S4. Does anything change with the new board?
