Z plus innaccuracies

I’ve been having issues with the z-axis and they’ve been getting progressively worse. My first job was so accurate, it cut through the stock without cutting my wasteboard. It’s been digging a little deeper and deeper lately. I just ran a job and it immediately went straight through the stock (.167"). I figured it was user error somehow, but couldn’t figure it out. I probed it again and reran the job. It started out looking good, but a few inches into a contour cut it started plunging like a ramp until it went through the whole stock. I know it sounds like a loose end mill, but i tightened it as hard as I could and measured the length of the mill before and after the last job. It was the same. Please help.

What machine do you have? What options does it have?

Please check the wiring and connectors and the mechanics of the Z-axis.
