You have project, that requires a tool change.
At the time i have separate files for each tool, as there is no zero Z option without bitsetter.
However in one last project I have had an issue, where I nearly lost my mind. Project required 4 tool changes. And at the fourth one it happened to me, that instead of just zeoring the Z I zeroed x,y and z. That was the end of the project, as there were only small chamfers and the postition must have been exact. it would be nice to have at least one or two last “zeroeing” postitions available if it accidentally happen to zero all. ( or even one of x,y )
That would be nice and sometimes helpfull
Other zeroing ideas :
Would be nice to have an option ( popup ) for zeroing Z on the same place as curent zero x,y after tool change.
Shortcut for Z-zero on keyboard ( Not zero all ) That would eliminate the possibility for accidentally rezero all three axis.
I’m missing something here, Are you using a dedicated tool holder for each bit that you’ve premeasured the tool stick out of? If not, you would still need the bitsetter.
I have never had this problem, but one could take a screen shot (or write it down) and then be able to just jog back to it. I almost always zero x&y at the same place, so I can find it again.
