I am looking to purchase a shapeoko in the near future. So, I downloaded carbide create and was wanting to start playing with the software and design some products before I actually got the machine. Unfortunately when I open it, it tells me no machine detected. Do you have to be plugged into the machine in order for it to work or did I not download the right version?
I suspect that you have Carbide Motion, which is specific to Carbide 3D machines, rather than Carbide Create, which is (mostly) agnostic. Please try the beta:
