Has anyone used their shapeoko for micarta. Obviously the feed rate needs to be slower than for wood. Just curious if it has been done
Yes, I have. It’s a little on the hard side, but cutting it does seem to be a little temperature dependent because of the resin. It might also depend on whether it’s linen (which I cut), paper, or some other fiber. Was a bit “dusty” when I cut it, but wasn’t cutting a lot so didn’t really try too hard to optimize beyond not burning the cut.
