Puzzle pieces Help

Anyone who is reading this trying to help I truly appreciate any ideas you have. I am trying to make a wooded puzzle and am running into a problem making the pieces. Is there a way to move one object to the front or back (I guess im trying to layer the pieces so I get ride of overlapping lines). When I merge two different puzzle pieces together it erases one of them Thanks for any help

For Boolean operations it’s more a matter of selection order — the key object is indicated by a dashed highlight.

See: http://docs.carbide3d.com/assembly/carbidecreate/video-tutorials/#boolean-operations

Note that if you need any of the original geometry you’ll need to duplicate it (command or control c) and drag it back into registration so as to preserve a copy.

They discussed puzzle fab at our Kokomo club meeting, however, I believe it was for laser cutting. Any way, the solution to the puzzles was to go to Inkscape, install that, download an extension for “laser puzzles” and use that for layouts and cutting files. Check it out to see if it would help in your case.
