Wolfram Alpha free on Windows 10 app store 'til 5 Jan

Here:

Anyone got any guidelines for putting it to use to calculate feeds and speeds?

I can’t answer the question but for me it says its a $1.49. Still worth it, but wonder why it is different for me?

Are you in the U.S.?

Downloaded, it was free. Not sure what I’ll do with it, or how I’ll do it, but it’s interesting

It shows $1.49 for me too, and I’m in the us. Hmm.

My apologies — guess it being free was a one day thing.

I’ve installed it and tried it out, but can’t figure out how to get it to do useful machining calculations or create new calculations (as opposed to the ones which are pre-prepared).

Oh, well, back to Tableau and Google Spreadsheets.

It’s funny Will, because I installed it on my PC, then probably an hour later went to put it on my wife’s and it was no longer free. There’s a web interface that works fine though and it’s free. I don’t know how to add anything to it, but it’s a pretty cool app for just looking at random useless facts (my specialty).

Thanks for the link,

Dan

Well, I tried “machining” as a “Mechanical Engineering” topic, but they don’t have anything there yet — put in a feedback request noting the absence.
