I have a Shapeoko 3 Pro with a Carbide Motion V2.2 board and I’m looking for a place to tap in a 12 VDC power on so I can add a board power on LED light on the front side. Any help is much appreciated.
I believe there is only 24v and 5v available, so your best bet would be to tap 24v and they use a buck dc to dc converter ($1-$2) to make your 12v…BUT most of the available current that the power supply makes is used to run the machine. So…not the best idea if you need more than 1A IMO.
