20° flat bottom tip

Has anyone ever worked with the flat bottom 20° V bits I’m doing some inlay that are on the small side and can only be carved completely with the V bit but it’s taking quite a long time because of that tiny point. Any other advice would be greatly appreciated, and how to handle that issue.

Carbide Create does not support such tool geometry.

Thanks for the fast reply @WillAdams i won’t waste time on that then!

As you’re doing inlay work, the floor of the pockets are going to be covered with the inlay, I’d adjust the stepover to be larger to speed things up.

How deep is your glue gap? Multiple the glue gap by 0.35 to get your stepover.
i.e. If your glue gap is 0.050, your stepover can be 0.0175

Wow what great info!
Thanks guys.
