201 bit tip black

Been cutting out shapes in Red oak .95 inch thick. Noticed the tip of the 201 1/4” end mill is black. Is the bit done or am I not running it fast enough. The feed rate is 90in/min but I overdose to 120% during the cuts. Depth of cut is stock in CC. emphasized text

Rather than (or in addition to) speeding up the feedrate, try reducing the spindle speed a bit.
Are you noticing any burning on the wood? Especially on the end grain?

No burning on wood. Was running at 18,000.
