2d to 3d help in carbide create pro

Hi im a non shapeoko user of carbide create. Im looking to purchase the pro version bit am having a hard time with using the 3d function. Are there any in depth tutorials on working from a line drawing to making the 3d relief and tool path. I did do a test and the generated a relief and it looked ok but when doing the rough and finish paths in the tool path that generated a messed up relief. Any help appreciated
