3D Finish Tool Path Surfaces the Whole Part?

Hey there community,

I have a simple block with a pocket in it that I would like to machine with the 3D toolpath feature. I created the pocket design as an STL (a simple block with a single pocket) and I imported it into Carbide create. I’m able to generate the tool paths no problem (thanks to carbide create, of course), but the finishing toolpath covers the entire part, i.e., it resurfaces the whole piece, wasting time cutting areas that don’t need it and roughing a surface I would rather leave untouched. I essentially just want it to cut out the pocket and leave the surrounding area alone. Any ideas of how I could edit the process to accomplish this? Thank you for any help!

Create a vector around the pocket & select that as the boundary for the 3D toolpath.
