3d sign not flattening out properly

Hello all, so I have imported this stl that I purchased from etsy, Made the necessary changes to fit my stock. However, when viewing the 3d preview my stock has 2 layers cut.
Question: How do I prevent the cut on both sides of my image rendering a flat surface with the 3d image prevailing on top?

Send the .stl in to support@carbide3d.com and we can walk through this with you in the Tutorial area.

I am trying to send the file but it says the file is too large, I cant upload the cc pro file either too large, I dont know whats going on.

Upload the file to a Google (or other network) drive and send a link which a third-party may use to support@carbide3d.com.

Probably what you want to do is to import the STL alone (I’m guessing it includes the base area) then add the additional geometry around it to get an even base.
