I took your challenge to get things within the footprint of the table. I removed the board I had things mounted on and built a shelf on one side for the controller and VFD.
I am not sure if the controller and VFD should really be on their backs, need to check into that.
On the other side I built a shelf for the vac, dust separator and the coolant bucket (I use a bucket and pond pump rather than a chiller). The vac nestles into a hole in the shelf to get it low enough.
On that side you will see a short 2x4 at the top. I plan to use that and the shelf below to anchor an arm for the dust collection.
Currently the shelves are cantilevered. I may put a short piece on the other side and run a board between them at the top and then use that to add vertical supports for the inner sides of the shelves if needed.
I found a short rolling cabinet at Wally World and sized the shelves to make sure it fits between. I need to change the wheels on that to fully rotating instead of one side being fixed. And I need to finish the drawers.
I can still lift the machine to engage/disengage the wheels but it’s definitely more heavy now.
I’m hoping I didn’t put anything out of square bolting to the legs. I used the factory holes for the shelf on the right but had to drill new ones lower on the left to accommodate those larger items.
I also need to put my IOT switch back in, I am going to move that to the left side since it is the vac and pump that it controls.
I have spent a lot of time getting things set up. I know that if I started cutting and left things half assed I would likely never go back and do it nicer. It’s a real challenge to quell my impatience to get started.
